Engineered Material Handling (EMH), Valley City, OH, has introduced the AL Systems line of articulating aluminum-rail jib cranes (250 and 500 lb.), with spans as long as 15 ft. The cranes prove ideal for working underneath bridge cranes, in areas serving multiple workstations, for outdoor loading docks and in machining and assembly areas where several jib cranes might overlap, providing extensive coverage.

With lightweight aluminum-track profiles, the cranes are easily configured to suit almost any application. Their anodized-aluminum extrusions and enclosed rails provide strength and durability, and add to their aesthetics. Free-moving, the cranes deliver smooth operation and a low starting force, even with the load located at the end of the bridge. And, anti-kick-up nylon wheels deliver smooth and safe movement of the trolley inside of the enclosed rail.

Noteworthy, as well, is the use of a T-Slot design for splicing rail pieces together, for effortless installation with a variety of integrating equipment, including lifters and end effectors, chain hoists and smart lifters. The T-Slot splice design also eliminates bumps when moving a load over track splices.
