Miller Electric Mfg. Co. introduces the Dynasty 800 and Maxstar 800 additions to its lineup of gas-tungsten-arc-welding (GTAW) power supplies. The new machines deliver a maximum of 800 A of output power and exceptional GTAW and shielded-metal-arc-welding (SMAW) performance for applications such as pipe and tube fabrication and pressure-vessel welding.

The Dynasty 800 is AC/DC GTAW- and stick-capable, rated for 1-in.-thick aluminum and steel. It replaces the previous Dynasty 700 model. The DC GTAW- and stick-capable Maxstar 800 replaces the Maxstar 700 model and is rated to 1-in.-thick steel.

Meter calibration on the new machines allows the digital meters to be accurately adjusted for certification, saving time and confusion during process audits. Standardized menus on the power sources also help reduce welder training time and labor costs.

The Cooler-On-Demand feature operates the machine’s auxiliary cooling system only when needed, reducing noise, energy use and the airborne contaminants pulled through the cooler, while the Pro-Set feature makes machine setup quick and simple by eliminating guesswork when setting weld parameters.
